In January 2013 the Department of Orthopaedics at the University Hospital Basel and the Spital Oberengadin in Samedan (close to St. Moritz) founded the „Center for Alpine Sport-Biomechanics“. after receiving a 185’000 SFR kick start funding from the government Graubünden.
First „en piste“ experiments will be carried out on March 19th 2013.
